Joe Kraudel

Outdoor Education Coordinator; Middle School Bible

After graduating college with a degree in education, I wasn't sure if I would ever find the niche role to use my giftings and passions. I taught four years in the USA, but unfortunately didn't thrive as a classroom teacher. I was lost, but God's hope for my giftings looked different and luckily gave me the opportunity to redeem my "crushed dreams." While visiting Doulos's campus on a vacation to visit my sister-in-law, God spoke to me, saying, "this, Doulos, is where I want your restortation to take place." Even though it was very audible, I was very fearful to answer the call. Missionary? ME? I'm just your average Joe. Why? Now, after three months of seeing the avenues for discipleship at this school, I understand more of the giftings God has given me and how Jesus wants to continue to use the story of his grace in my life to impact the students and families in this community!

The work of Doulos is important because:

In a culture that sees success as getting to the top of society, no matter what the relational cost, our students grow in a way to hope for a different vision of success. One where the humble heart uses what God has given them to bring others to their level with sacrificial service and leadership.

Hobby or fun fact:

I'm an avid musician and write my own music.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Hebrews 12:1-3
