1st Grade Teacher

When God opened the door for me to student teach at Doulos, I expected it to just be a 2-month internship that left me with some unique teaching experience and a little taste of the mission field. After stepping into the Doulos community, however, I was blown away by the love, family-like environment, and hands-on style of learning that I observed. It soon became clear that this was where God was calling me to return to teach after graduation. I've had a heart for missions and for caring for children for as long as I can remember, and Doulos brings those two passions together in a beautiful ministry that impacts young lives for Christ. I am so excited to begin my teaching career as a first grade teacher on the Doulos staff, and I am already amazed at the work God is doing through this school!

The work of Doulos is important because:

It is a place where kids can belong-- where they feel loved, valued, and known, and thus where they are able to encounter Jesus and develop the academic and life skills they need to thrive and transform their world.

Hobby or fun fact:

I would love to write and illustrate my own children's book someday!
