I grew up a missionary kid in China, where I got to witness and be a part of my parents' ministry. Their heart for the lost and broken all over the world was deeply evident. When I was little I was just along for the ride, but as I grew older, I began to discover that I had the same heart God had given my parents. After I graduated high school, all I wanted to do was "carry on the family business" by serving the Lord abroad. He paved the way for me to pursue this dream by putting me in contact with a few Doulos teachers. Through these connections, I learned more about Doulos, and here I am now, living my dream in ways I never dreamed of!
The work of Doulos is important because:
It provides a unique, Christ-honoring educational environment for kids from Pre-K to 12th grade. We identify their genuine needs, prepare and equip them for the real spiritual and physical battles they're destined to face, and develop character and skills that they can use to bring God glory throughout their lives.
Hobby or fun fact:
I never know what to say when people ask me where I'm from! I'm American, but I was born in Hong Kong. I've lived in Texas and Iowa, as well as three different places in China.
