From The Seniors to The Doulos Family

(3-Minute Read)

Hello, Doulos Family!

We are the Class of 2024, proudly named "Metanoia!"

Each year, the senior class chooses a name that represents their experience at Doulos. We chose "Metanoia" (think metamorphosis) because it’s a term embodying the transformative journey we've taken here. It signifies not just a small change, but a PROFOUND shift in the way we think, feel, live, and most importantly, our commitment to changing our direction from the world towards Christ. That's why our Bible verse is Romans 12:2

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Thinking about our personality as a class, we are goofy, creative, smart leaders, and dedicated worshipers. We have strong opinions, and we love to defend the truth. Not only that, but we are really innovative, and we always want to improve things when we see the opportunity. Because of this, we hope to leave a legacy of going the extra mile in everything we do, like expeditions and presentations that we’ve organized.

Our time at Doulos has shaped greatly our walk with Christ. Thanks to our teachers and their dedication over the years, we have grown greatly as Servant Leaders and as individual followers of Christ. For example, during service weeks we used to do them because we had to and often with a negative attitude. Now we’ve grown so much that we love to serve and look for ways that we can serve our community even when we don’t have to.

As we approach graduation, we want to leave a lasting legacy at Doulos. We want to be known as a class with great devotion to Christ and a testimony of transformation that impacts other students positively. That’s why we’ve dedicated time to bless other students by leading at Chapel and sharing our testimonies not only at Doulos but also around town. We want people to remember us by those innovative ideas that we’ve executed to make Doulos a fun place, like the Talent Show.

As we wrap up, we want to share our heartfelt gratitude to the Doulos Family for your support throughout our journey. As we step into the next chapter of our lives, we carry with us the values instilled at Doulos – a commitment to Christ, a passion for service, and a dedication to making a positive impact on the world around us.

With gratitude,

“Metanoia”

We're so proud of our Middle School and High School volleyball teams for the wonderful season they had. It is so inspiring to see them develop their skill and character both on and off the court.

Service Learning Teams

We had a couple of teams come and invest their skills and hearts in God's work here at Doulos. Over the years, they have really become such a special part of the Doulos Family and we are so grateful for the role they play.
