Work Teams
Why:
A short term mission trip is a great first step in experiencing foreign missions first hand. You will see and experience how missionaries live and have the opportunity to share meals and stay with families of Doulos students. It is only through breaking bread together and sharing our lives with one another that we can truly have compassion on one another. Doulos is a vibrant and real community which you will be invited to participate in as an active part of the larger Christian body.
Who:
Doulos Discovery offers work team trips for people of all ages and stages. These trips can be tailored for church groups, high school groups, college ministry groups, family groups, as well as skilled professionals who desire to use their experience to bless local ministries. Group size may range from just a few folks to as many as 40 and children older than 7 are always welcome to join the group.
What:
Groups do everything from leading teacher workshops to helping with heavy construction work to group reading with children to helping with medical needs to computer I.T. support. Your specific gifts and skills will most often be a real blessing to the Doulos community.
When:
Our schedules are somewhat flexible throughout the year. The school year is similar to that of the United States, so if your group wants to interact with students and teachers, plan accordingly. A recommended trip length is roughly 8-9 days.
