Only 30% of the children beginning first grade in Jarabacoa will graduate from high school. Public schools are chronically short on teachers, facilities and funds. Private schools are a luxury only the wealthy can afford, which is only a small fraction of the population. This is why Doulos Discovery School is revolutionary. We make available an incomparable hands-on education to kids from ALL economic backgrounds.

With over 90,000 people living in the Jarabacoa area and a GNP per capita at less than US$1460 per year, quality education is out of reach for most children. Doulos Discovery School believes leaders come from all economic backgrounds and therefore offers need based scholarships to 50% of its students.

Scholarships are provided by sponsors, people like you, who want to make a difference in the life of a child and, in turn, a community. We believe that if children are given a solid education, balanced with the hope of Jesus Christ, they have a chance to escape the cycle of poverty and make a difference in their own lives, the community, the country and even world.
