Outdoor Education Week
The past few weeks have been really exciting here at Doulos. Our students have been undertaking various adventures in learning as part of our annual Outdoor Education Week.

The preschool students all the way up to the 3rd grade have been taking trips to learn things such as how bees make honey, how vegetables are grown, and also how to plant their own vegetable gardens. |

The 4th-7th graders took a three day camping trip to the Doulos coffee farm at Manabao. Students participated in two lessons and two different projects each day. Projects included everything from fun drama lessons to making a mosaic using broken floor tile. In between projects and lessons there was of course plenty of free time for kids to be kids and just run around and play. |

The 8th-11th graders (spread across three separate weeks) went on week-long backpacking trips to the highest peak in the Caribbean, Pico Duarte (10,164 feet). The week was a strenuous test of the physical, emotional, and spiritual abilities in each student. They took in beautiful sights, came together as a team to help each other, and were challenged to go deeper in their walk with Christ.
We are thankful for the opportunities to share creation and Christ’s love with our students through the adventures of Outdoor Education
